Pick up trucks sales are rising in Middle East, with 2 of leading manufacturers, Ford and General Motors, showing impressive growth. Dealers of General Motors’ in Middle East, say that the sales of Avalanche & Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado, & GMC Sierra have gone up by around 26 percent in the month of August because of strong performance from Silverado, where the sales went up by 134 percent in the month. Mr Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, the Director-General at Expo Centre Sharjah said that pick ups are really common sight these days on the city roads; lots of businesses are relying on these trucks for transporting goods, while are indispensible for a lot of families. Spring time restrictions of road at Manitoba will now by taking into account the changing conditions weather instead of solely relying on the pre-set end & start dates. This was announced by Manitoba Government a couple of days ago. Steve Ashton, the minister for Infrastructure & Transportation said truckers will be seeing shorter time period of the restrictions of spring road due to changes in policy. Ford Recalls Certain Truck and RV Chassis
Ford has recalled some f-53 & f-59 vehicles of stripped chassis from 2011 & 2012 models years for fixing cable of transmission selector which might break. F53 chassis is used typically as platform for recreational automobiles while F59 has commercial trucks like delivery vans. Ford said that “prndl” cable which controls gear indicator of transmission screen might break where it’s attached to selector arm of transmission control on steering column. “Prndl” is park, reverse, neutral drive & low positions of gear. If cable breaks, gear indicator screen in instrument panel won’t move when driver changes position of gear.
